Present Tense

The Present Tense is one of the most commonly used tenses in English and is called “geniş zaman” in Turkish. This tense is used to describe daily habits, routines, general truths, and unchanging facts. 1. Affirmative Sentences

2. Negative Sentences

In negative sentences, an auxiliary verb is used.
For “I, You, We, They” → do not (don’t)
For “He, She, It” → does not (doesn’t)

The verb always stays in its base form.

3. Interrogative Sentences

In questions, the auxiliary verb comes at the beginning of the sentence.

4. Short Answers

When giving short answers, the auxiliary verb is used again.
