Vocabulary, that is, word knowledge, is one of the most fundamental and important parts of learning English. When learning a new language, we first learn words. Because words are the building blocks of speaking and forming sentences. The more words we know, the better we can express ourselves and the more easily we can understand others.

For students learning English at the primary school level, learning vocabulary is usually done through fun activities. Songs, games, pictures, and stories make learning words easier. Words learned at this age are more permanent because children learn by seeing and having fun.

At the primary school level, students usually learn simple words used in daily life. These words can be divided into several groups:

Nouns: Names of people, animals, and objects.

Verbs: Describe actions.

Songs and videos: English children’s songs are very effective for learning words.
Repetition: Repeating learned words frequently prevents forgetting.
